Safety Assessment Federation: one support relationship for a simpler IT estate
How SAFed replaced ad-hoc internal troubleshooting with managed support, proactive change and a clearer route for future technology projects.

This self-contained inTEC Telecom case study summarises a verified customer project delivered by the wider inTEC Group. Original publication date: 3 October 2025.
The customer
The Safety Assessment Federation (SAFed) is a not-for-profit trade association representing the engineering testing, inspection and certification sector in the UK and Ireland.
The challenge
IT issues were being handled internally on an ad-hoc basis, taking staff away from their core work. SAFed needed a dependable service provider, a single point of contact and careful change management for colleagues who were understandably cautious about new ways of working.
The solution
inTEC brought SAFed’s IT requirements into one managed support relationship. The service established a consistent baseline for user support and created the foundation for further projects, including updated networking equipment in the London office.
The outcome
Internet and IT failures became less frequent, while staff gained direct access to an expert support team when issues did arise. Structured communication and patient change support helped build confidence and acceptance across the organisation.
