inTEC becomes a patron of Kickstart

The inTEC Group has become a patron of Kickstart, a Manchester-based social enterprise that works with schools to improve children’s lives through sport, education and community programmes.

Ten years of active education

Kickstart is celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2026. Its team works with 37 schools across Greater Manchester and supports around 7,000 children every week through PE delivery, breakfast and after-school clubs, wraparound childcare and wider community activity.

The organisation has chosen to build close, lasting relationships with a focused group of schools. That approach allows its coaches and education specialists to understand each school, maintain strong communication and provide support that extends beyond individual sports sessions.

Why the partnership fits

inTEC’s decision to become a patron is rooted in shared values. Both organisations place personal relationships, specialist knowledge and dependable service at the centre of their work. Kickstart also invests in curriculum development, funding support and professional development for school leaders, creating additional value for the communities it serves.

The partnership strengthens inTEC’s existing commitment to education and to programmes that use sport to improve wellbeing, confidence and future opportunity. That work already includes support for grassroots football and The Big Goal, which helps young people facing homelessness or exclusion through football, wellbeing and employability coaching.
